Hi,

We noticed that you haven't used MightyText in a couple of weeks. Since you were one of our more active users, we wanted to check in to see if you ran into any problems/bugs, or have questions that we can answer. Please let us know -- just reply to this email, and we'll get back to you right away. To start texting again from your computer, you can launch MightyText here.

thanks,

the MightyText team

P.S. If you didn't find MightyText helpful or useful, we would love to hear from you as well.

Svar från mig:

Hi,

Yes, you are absolutely right that I ran into problems, in three stages, and finally stopped using MightyText.

At first, I just loved it. Then I realized that every now and then, some text messages weren't sent and never received by the other person. It took a while and some confusion before I learned that the red alarm clock symbol meant that the sms wasn't sent. I didn't understand why and started to be cautious and observant. After a while I thought I found a connection: it seemed that every time the app in my mobile had updated itself, I had to log in again into the mobile account and thus the web version didn't work until I had done that.

So far, so good (I thought). But then the terrible things started to happen. I sent an sms that looked like this:

Hi xxx,

xxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxx.

Yyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyy
yyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyy
yyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyy.

Zzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzz
zzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzz
zzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzz.

Love M

What was sent and what the recipient got, was this:

Hi xxx,

xxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxx.

Love M

The message wasn't just cut after the first paragraph, it was the 3rd and 4th paragraph out of 5 that were cut out! This meant of course that the recipient didn't know that something was left out, because it looked like an ordinary - albeit abrupt - message. The whole middle part was gone, and there was no way for me to get it back, so I had to rewrite it, which took a while and in the meantime the recipient answered, thinking that my abrupt sms was the whole message.

After this I started to always write the sms in a text editor first and then copy it into MightyText. But then I discovered that some messages weren't sent although I had just logged into the account in my mobile (which means there was no connection between these two things after all), and when MightyText cut some messages again (this time after the first parapgraph!) I realized that the service wasn't reliable and stopped using it and stopped recommending it to other people.

There's my feedback.

Best regards,

Madeleine

Jag hörde ingenting från dem, så efter drygt tre veckor skrev jag igen:

Hi again,

You contacted me and asked for my opinion about your service. I gave you valuable feedback and after that you don't even bother to answer me?!

I'm glad I've stopped using your service.

Best,

Madeleine

Jag fick aldrig något svar.
